Run your ice hockey club
from one app.
Youth hockey runs on ice time, which is expensive, booked months ahead and frequently at hours no other sport would tolerate. Everything else follows from the sheet schedule.
Hockey scheduling
around the ice.
Practices, games and tournaments tied to the sheet they are on, with feeds that update when ice time moves.
A Squirt and a Bantam, two schedules
Rostered keeps one schedule and attaches each session to the teams it concerns, so a family with a Squirt and a Bantam sees their two schedules rather than the whole association’s week. Subscribed calendars update when a slot shifts, which is the only version of this that works when the change lands at nine o’clock the night before.
The rink, the sheet, and which door is open
Every session carries its venue, which in hockey means the specific rink and often the specific sheet, along with the address and whatever the association wrote about which door is unlocked at that hour. The forecast travels with it too, because the drive is frequently the longest part of the morning.
Do not wake a team twice
A change sends one notification for that event rather than one per edit, so an administrator fixing a time and then a sheet number has not woken a team twice. Recurring practices are a series, so a family can mute the slot they have memorised and still hear about games and tournaments.
Who is on the ice
this weekend.
Per-athlete availability, per-day answers on tournament weekends, and attendance marked at the rink.
Every skater and goalie asked separately
Every skater and goalie is asked separately, and families reply from a phone at the rink or a laptop at home. Sent, viewed and answered are tracked separately, so a family who read the request and did not reply is distinguishable from one whose email never arrived, and the reminder that follows is the right reminder for each.
A summary, not an app at six in the morning
The coach sees confirmed, declined and pending with names against each, and can have the summary emailed rather than opening an app at six in the morning. Tournament weekends are answered per day, which is how hockey tournaments run and how families actually make their plans.
Marked at the rink
Attendance is marked present or absent from a phone at the rink, with excused reasons recorded, and a guardian’s own check-in is stored separately from the coach’s mark rather than replacing it. Over a season that runs most of the winter, that record is what an association leans on when it needs one.
Hockey rosters,
centers to goalies.
Forwards, defense and goalies, with numbers and guardian contacts in the bench area.
Center, wing, defense, goalie
Rostered carries hockey positions as the sport uses them: center, wing, defense and goalie, alongside jersey numbers and the guardian contacts a coach needs in the bench area when a player takes a hit and their parent is on the other side of the glass or not in the building at all.
8U to 18U, moved up together
Associations fielding teams from 8U through 18U use divisions, teams and cohorts to keep that structure clear. Athletes belong to a cohort by graduating year and cohorts are assigned to divisions per season, so the age group that was Squirt moves up together at the rollover rather than being reassigned one player at a time.
Siblings across age groups, one account
Families hold several athletes under one login, which in a sport where siblings frequently play at the same association across different age groups is what keeps parents using it at all. A player moving up takes their schedule, availability and team Huddle with them.
Reach the team
when the ice changes.
Team and division Huddles created automatically, with role mentions and attachments.
Huddles that follow the roster
Huddles are created with each team and division and their membership follows the roster, so the message goes to the families it concerns. Mention @coaches or @guardians and Rostered resolves the role to whoever currently holds it in that Huddle, which stays correct when the roster changes at the trade deadline or after the holidays.
Maps, reactions and announcement mode
Attachments keep the rink map and the tournament schedule with the message, reactions let a team acknowledge a 5:30am change without generating twenty notifications, and announcement mode is available for the messages that need reading rather than discussing. The history belongs to the team and is still there next season.
Email, for what is not chat
Not every message belongs in a thread. Coaches and administrators can send association email through Rostered, and those emails are listed inside the app too, so the parent looking for the tournament entry details at eleven at night finds them without scrolling a season’s worth of inbox.
